Sailpast - April 26 - 27 (Caulfeild and Snug Cove)
April 26 - 27 (Saturday - Sunday)
Host - Commodore
A Sailpast is a yacht club and naval tradition that dates back millennia. The Commodore reviews the vessels and the skippers salute the Commodore as they pass. After, there is a gathering, with champagne, to renew friendships amongst the members and celebrate the sailing that will come.
Members who cannot be present are expected to send their regrets to the Commodore. The Commodore sails two days from Powell River to be there, so he expects a full turnout! The Sailpast is held near Caulfeild Cove (just off Caulfeild Park in West Vancouver) and we gather afterwards at Snug Cove. Glen is arriving a day early to prepare 2 pots of Chili, one veggie and one meat, with Caesar Salad and Garlic Bread.
Remember to book your slip at U.S.S.M. early.
